It's fair to say, like most make up lovers, I absolutely lost my head when I found out that Kat Von D Beauty was finally coming to the UK. I'm currently on a mission to cut out all companies that test on animals, so the fact that the entire brand is cruelty free plus the outstanding reviews that i'd seen online meant that I had to bag myself some goodies as soon as possible.

One of the products that I was most excited to try out were the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and I honestly could not recommend them enough if you're a fan of a true matte finish. As it stands, I currently have five in my collection including Lolita, Vampira, Bow & Arrow, Double Dare and Lovesick. The pigmentation of all the colours that i've tried so far has been absolutely insane. All it takes is one swipe for maximum colour payoff, although for the more intensely dark shades, like Vampira, a little building whilst wet may be required for completely even coverage but the end result is well worth the little extra work. The creamy formula glides on with ease and doesn't take long to completely dry down, so you do have to work fairly quickly; applying layers once set can lead to it feeling thick and uncomfortable. Because these lipsticks have such an extremely matte finish, once set that can feel a little dry but not nearly enough to put me off wearing them. Also, the staying power of this formula is the best out of all the liquid lips i've tried so far and do have the potential to last all day if you stay away from oily foods.

Let's just take a minute to appreciate the packaging. Kat Von D's whole range has a tattoo-inspired aesthetic that speaks to me on a different level. The metallic roses on the matte black lid contrast beautifully with the transparent, high shine bottle exposing one of the gorgeous shades. It definitely makes a statement and is unlike anything i've seen before.

Overall, I would definitely recommend giving the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks a go if a little dryness doesn't bother you. The colour range is absolutely stunning and definitely offers something to suit every taste or look. I definitely plan on expanding my collection and possibly trying to collect them all.
